Accessibility

A site every family can use.

Ninja HQ is for everyone in the sport: parents booking on a phone, athletes with disabilities, coaches using a screen reader or a keyboard. This statement covers ninjahq.ai and the gym websites built on the Ninja HQ platform.

Our goal

We build ninjahq.ai and every gym website on Ninja HQ to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. Accessibility is part of how each page is made, not an add-on: we don't use accessibility overlay widgets.

How we check

  • Automated testing on every pageEach page is checked with axe-core against the WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 A and AA rules before it ships. Our target is zero violations.
  • A real keyboard walkA skip link, a visible focus ring on every control, a logical tab order and no keyboard traps.
  • Phones firstEvery page is checked at 375 pixels wide, text can be zoomed to 200%, and form fields are large enough to tap.
  • Readable by designText meets the 4.5:1 contrast ratio, every picture has a description, forms have labels, and motion stops when your device asks for reduced motion.

What we know needs work

Gym websites can include text, photos and documents that each gym adds itself, such as competition flyers. We give gyms the tools to describe their pictures, but a gym's own uploads may not always meet the standard. If you find something like that, tell us and we'll work with the gym to fix it.

Tell us about a problem

If anything on ninjahq.ai or a Ninja HQ gym website is hard to use, please send us a message with the page address and what happened. We read every message and will reply with what we're doing about it. If you need information from a page in another format, ask and we'll provide it.
