How do I track a flyer, post or email with a tagged link?

On Analytics > Website traffic > Sources, use Tag a link to make a web address and QR code. Visits from it show up under Campaigns with its name.

Where: Analytics > Website traffic > Sources

Who can do this: Owners, Managers, Front desk staff

A tagged link is your normal web address with a name added to it. When someone opens it, your traffic report knows which post, email or flyer brought them.

Before you begin

  • Decide where you will share the link and give it a short name, for example fall-open-house.
  • Anyone who can open Website traffic can make links.

Steps

  1. Open Analytics > Website traffic and click the Sources tab.
  2. Scroll to Tag a link.
  3. In Page to Send People To, choose a page: Home, Classes, Schedule, Pricing, Memberships, Competitions, Special events, Birthday parties, Coaches, Waiver or Contact.
  4. In Where You Will Share It, choose one: Instagram (bio, post or story), Facebook, TikTok, Google Business Profile, Email newsletter, Text message, Flyer, poster or sign (QR code), Facebook or Instagram ad, or Another website (school, partner).
  5. In A Name for It, type a short name with no spaces, such as fall-open-house or summer-camp-flyer.
  6. Press Make the link.
  7. Copy Your link and use it in place of the plain address. For print, save the QR code beside it.
  8. Later, return to the Sources tab and open Campaigns to see the visits and bookings that link brought.

What you'll see

Visits from the link are listed under Campaigns with the name you chose. The name is lowercased and cleaned up, so spaces become dashes. Click a campaign to narrow the report to it.

Troubleshooting

The link is too long for a QR code. A message says so. Shorten the name and make the link again.

Nothing appears under Campaigns. Open the link yourself from a device that is not signed in to the back office, then check again in a few seconds. Visits from signed-in staff are not counted.

Questions

How soon do clicks show up?

A few seconds after the first click, under Campaigns on the Sources tab.

Can I use the QR code on a printed flyer?

Yes. Right-click the code (or press and hold on a phone) to save it, then add it to your flyer.
