How do I sell a class pack at the front desk?
Open Front desk > Class packs, find or add the customer, choose the pack, choose how they paid, and press Record the pack. Each check-in then uses one class.
A class pack is a set number of classes sold at a fixed price. Staff sell them at the front desk, and each check-in with a pack takes one class.
Before you begin
- Front desk staff, managers and owners can sell packs. Setting the pack types is for owners and managers.
- Add your pack types first (see below), or use Other to type one in.
Steps
Sell a pack
- Open Class packs.
- 1. Who's buying? Search your contacts by name, email or phone and pick the person, or press ＋ New customer and type First and Last Name, Email and Mobile Phone. New customers are saved to Contacts.
- 2. Which pack? Choose a pack type, or Other and fill in Name, Classes, Price ($) and Good for (Months, 0 = No End).
- Choose Paid By: the card reader, a card on another machine, cash, other, a gift card, or free / comp. Only the methods your gym has turned on appear. To use a gift card, open Paying with a gift card?, type the code and press Check the balance.
- Optionally fill in Who Will Use It (names, commas; empty means the buyer) and a Note.
- 3. Stay in touch boxes for news and texts start unticked. Only tick them after the customer says yes.
- Press Record the pack.
Set your pack types
At the bottom, in Pack types, type one per line like 10-class pack | 10 | 150 | 6 (name, classes, price, months it is good for; 0 months means no end). Tick or untick Email the buyer after each check-in..., then press Save pack types.
See and void packs
The list under Active packs shows buyer, pack, Used, Left, Good through and who it is for. Use the search box by name or email. Press Void to cancel an active pack.
What you'll see
At Check-in, a person with a pack shows an option to use a class from it. The count under Left goes down by one each time. The list marks packs Used up, Expired or Voided.
Troubleshooting
No pack types to pick. Add them in the Pack types box, or use Other.
A pack is not in the list. The page opens on Active packs. Press Show used up, expired and voided packs too under the search box.
Questions
How do I change the pack sizes and prices?
Owners and managers edit them in the Pack types box at the bottom of the Class packs page, one per line as name, classes, price and months it is good for.
Does the buyer get emails?
Yes, by default. They are emailed when a pack is sold and after each check-in with how many classes are left. Untick the box in Pack types to stop this.
Can a pack be undone?
Press Void on an active pack. It cannot be used after that.
Can families buy packs online?
Yes, at your website's class packs page (it also works as a gift). Packs bought online appear in this list too.
