How do drop-in classes work, and can families pay online?
Families pay the drop-in rate on your Drop in for a class page or use a class pack. A paid drop-in stays valid until used and shows as paid online at check-in.
A drop-in is one class without a membership. Families can pay for it online, or you can add them at the desk.
Before you begin
- Online drop-ins need Stripe connected and a drop-in price on your Pricing page. If payment is not on yet, the page tells families to call or come to the front desk.
- Drop-ins cover classes on your weekly schedule in the next three weeks (class, homeschool, toddler and open gym entries). Closed days are skipped.
Steps
What the family does
- The family opens the Drop in for a class page (it is also a button on your Classes cards, and on Pricing).
- They choose the class, day and time, then enter the athlete, age, parent, email and mobile phone.
- They pay the drop-in rate with a card, or, when signed in to My account with a class pack that has classes left, use one class from the pack at once.
What you do
- On Bookings, the drop-in shows on that class's roster as a drop-in.
- At Front desk > Check-in, the athlete shows as Booked online, and the page opens with "N drop-ins already paid online for today." Do not charge them again.
- For someone who arrives without paying, see the walk-in article and Class packs.
What you'll see
A paid drop-in that was missed stays open: check-in offers every open booking of that athlete, any day, as "Drop-in paid online." My account lists their upcoming and unused drop-ins.
Troubleshooting
The Drop in page shows no classes. There are no drop-in type entries on your schedule in the next three weeks, or the days are closed.
"Online payment isn't switched on yet." Connect Stripe under Settings, then try again.
Questions
What if the family misses the class they paid for?
The paid drop-in stays on their account with no expiry. They can use it at check-in for any other class, or book another class with it on the Drop in page when signed in to My account.
Where is the drop-in price set?
It comes from your Pricing page's drop-in list (for example Single Class or Open Gym), with a per-class override in your settings if one exists. A class with no price falls back to the standard drop-in rate.
Does a drop-in need a waiver?
The Drop in page shows a waiver line for the family, and check-in shows whether the athlete has a waiver on file.
