How do I mark the gym closed or change the schedule for one day?
On Programs > Schedule, scroll to Closures and one-day changes, add a closure or change, and press Save closures and changes. It shows on your website.
Closures are days the gym is shut. One-day changes are days when the schedule is different, such as shorter open gym hours. Both show under your weekly schedule and on your home page during the two weeks before.
Before you begin
- Owners and managers can edit closures.
Steps
- Open Schedule and scroll to Closures and one-day changes.
- For a closed day, under Closed press + Add a closure. Fill in:
- First Day Closed
- Last Day (If More Than One), only for several days in a row
- Note, for example "Closed for a competition"
- For a different day, under Different that day press + Add a change. Fill in the Day and What's Different, for example "Open gym 4-6 PM".
- Under How the schedule looks you can also choose the Layout on Computers (a time grid, or one column per day) and a Line Under the Schedule, such as "Arrive 10 minutes early."
- Press Save closures and changes.
Tell the families
When you have closures or changes coming up, a Tell the families affected box appears. Each line has Email the families affected. It opens the Emails page ready for current members and everyone booked that day: classes, trials, camps and parties. You write the message and send it.
What you'll see
- The day shows on your public schedule under the notes.
- The Calendar lists the closure under Gym closures, and the month grid marks the day.
Troubleshooting
I get "Choose the first day for every closure." A closure row has a note but no date. Add the date or remove the row.
"A closure's last day must be on or after its first day." Fix the dates in that row.
Questions
Do families get an email automatically?
No. Each closure or change has an Email the families affected link that opens the Emails page with the right audience. You write and send the notice yourself.
Do old closures pile up?
No. Past days drop off by themselves.
How many can I list?
Up to 60 closures and 60 changes.
