How do I build or edit a page with the Page Builder?

The Page Builder makes pages from sections (a hero, text beside a picture, cards, numbers, quotes, questions, a call to action and more) in your website's own design. You edit with a live preview.

Before you begin

• The Page Builder is in the Website menu once it is switched on for your site.
• Owners and managers can publish. Other people who can edit save drafts.
• Pictures come from your Photos library. Add the pictures first.

Steps

Make a new page

1. Open Page Builder and press New Page.
2. Type a Title. The Address (optional) is made from the title if you leave it empty. Tick This is the home page only if you are rebuilding your home page.
3. Under Start from, choose a blank page (one hero), a landing page (hero, cards, a quote, questions, call to action) or an about page (story, numbers, timeline).
4. Press Create and Edit.

Edit a page

1. In the list, press Edit on the page. On computers the editor fills the window, with sections, a live preview and settings. Use Full Screen and Exit Full Screen to switch.
2. Pick a section to change its text, picture, buttons, layout and colors. Text in the preview can be typed in place. A bar on the selected section lets you move, hide, copy or remove it.
3. For a button, use Button Text, Link (it suggests your site's pages) and Main Button or Secondary Button style.
4. Open Page Settings to change the page's title, address, Search Title and Search Description.
5. Edits save as a draft. Look at the page with Preview the Draft from the list.

What you'll see

• Each page in the list shows "Live", "Not live yet", or "Live, with edits not published yet".
• Many existing pages from Pages and your standard pages (home, schedule, classes, pricing, coaches, parties, contact) have been moved here and look the same as before. Their sections are marked as built-in or live parts of your site.
• The Section Library link shows every kind of section with samples.

Troubleshooting

I can't publish. Only owners and managers publish. You will see "An owner or manager can publish it."

Someone else changed the draft. The editor warns if the draft changed since you opened it. Use Reload the Newest Draft.

The address is refused. Some addresses belong to your site's own pages, such as checkout and account pages. Choose another.
