How do I add photos to my website with my AI assistant?

In ChatGPT attach the photo and say where it goes. In Claude ask for an upload link and pick photos. The site resizes them; the assistant describes them.

Where: Website > AI assistant

Who can do this: Owners, Managers

You can add photos to your website without opening the back office. The website straightens and color-corrects each photo, sizes it for phones and computers, converts it to a fast format and removes camera and location data. A headshot is also framed so the face is centered.

Before you begin

  • Your assistant must be connected. See How do I connect ChatGPT or Claude as my AI assistant?.
  • Only add photos of people who agreed to be on the website (a parent's OK for anyone under 18).
  • Use the original photo from your phone rather than a small thumbnail. A headshot needs at least 400 pixels on its shorter side. Other photos need at least 640 pixels on the longer side. Smaller pictures are refused rather than enlarged and blurry.

Steps

One photo in ChatGPT

  1. Attach the photo to your message in a chat that uses your gym's connector.
  2. Say where it goes, for example "This is a new photo for Coach Ashley in action" or "Use this as the big picture at the top of the home page".
  3. The assistant looks at the photo, writes a one-sentence description and uploads it. It asks you if it is unclear which coach or product you mean.

Many photos, or Claude

  1. Ask: "I have photos to add to the Photos page."
  2. The assistant gives you a private link that lasts an hour. Open it.
  3. Choose the photos (up to 20 at once for the Photos page, coaches in action and team photos) and press Add these photos. For a single photo you may type a short description under What Does the Photo Show? (optional).
  4. When you see Done, go back to the chat and say you are finished.
  5. The assistant looks at each new photo, writes the description and saves it.

Where a photo can go

The Photos page, a coach in action, a coach's headshot, a team photo, the big picture at the top of the home page, the picture at the top of the Classes, Pricing or Competitions page, the party room pictures (up to 4), a shop product (up to 10), and a special event's flyer.

What you'll see

  • Visitors see the photo within about a minute.
  • To fix a description or show a photo in another place, ask: "Also use that photo as the picture at the top of the Pricing page."
  • To take a photo off the site, ask the assistant to remove it and say yes when it asks. The file is kept, so History can put it back. Only an owner can ask for it to be deleted for good, and then it cannot be put back.
  • There is a daily limit on photos and a limit on how many photos one site can hold. If you hit one, the assistant tells you.

Troubleshooting

"This link has expired or was already used." Ask the assistant for a new link.

"The photo is too small." Use the original from your phone or camera.

The photo shows with a generic description. Links the assistant has not seen get a placeholder such as "Training at (your gym)". Ask it to look at your new photos and describe them.

Questions

Do I have to go into the back office to add photos?

No. Everything is done in the chat: your assistant puts the photo where you say.

Who writes the photo description?

Your assistant does, because it can see the picture. NinjaHQ does not run its own AI on your photos. The description helps visitors who use screen readers and helps Google.

Is my camera's location data published?

No. The website strips camera and location data from every photo.
