How do I see where a photo is used or take it off my website?
In Website > Photos each photo lists where it appears. Press Edit to change it, or Take off the site to hide it. You can put it back.
The library under the upload box shows every picture your website uses, including photos NinjaHQ prepared for your gym, photos you uploaded, coach headshots, event flyers and page pictures.
Steps
Find a photo
- Open Photos and scroll to Your photos.
- Type in Search photos, coaches or pages, or use the filter buttons: All, Coaches, Home page, Photos page, Other pages, Flyers and Not on the site. Only the filters that have photos show.
- A badge on each photo says how many places it is used, or "Not used" or "Off the site". Press the photo to open its window. The list shows each place, and each is a link to that page of your website.
Change what a photo is used for
- Press Edit on the photo.
- Click the photo where it should stay centered when a page crops it. A face is usually best.
- Change What It Shows (the description), Caption on the Photos Page, Coaches in This Photo, Background of a Coach's Card, Home Page "On the Course" Row (a position from 1 to 8), or tick The team photo (Competitions and Classes pages).
- Press Save changes.
Take a photo off the site
- Press Edit (or Details) on the photo, then Take off the site and confirm.
- The photo disappears from every page listed. It moves to Not on the site.
- To bring it back, open it there and press Put back on the site (NinjaHQ's own photos) or Put back on the Photos page (your uploads). A headshot lets you choose which coach to use it for, then Put back.
Delete for good (owners)
On a photo that is already off the site, press Delete for good. It can't be put back afterwards.
What you'll see
Edits show on your website right away, and History records them.
Troubleshooting
A photo says "Not used". It is in your library but no page shows it yet. Edit it to give it a place, or ignore it.
A coach's headshot has no Edit button. Change headshots on the Coaches screen.
Questions
What is the difference between Take off the site and Delete for good?
Take off the site hides the photo from every page but keeps the file, so you can put it back. Delete for good removes the files and cannot be undone, not even from History. Only owners can delete for good.
Why can't I edit some photos?
Headshots, flyers and page pictures are changed where they are used (the Coaches screen, a competition or special event). Photos from NinjaHQ's prepared set can be edited and hidden too, but their files stay.
