How do I stop my own visits from being counted?

At the bottom of Analytics > Website traffic, add your gym's or home network under Visits not counted. Visits from then on are left out.

Where: Analytics > Website traffic

Who can do this: Owners, Managers

Your own visits to your website, from the gym Wi-Fi or from home, can inflate the numbers. Add those networks to the list that is not counted.

Before you begin

  • Staff who are signed in to the back office are already not counted on the device they signed in on.
  • Only owners and managers can change the list. Other staff see it but cannot edit it.
  • Use this for networks, such as the gym's Wi-Fi, where people open the website without signing in.

Steps

  1. Open Website traffic and scroll to the bottom of the page, to Visits not counted.
  2. If you are on the network you want to leave out, press Don't count my current network, which shows your address in brackets. This button only appears when your current network is not already on the list.
  3. To add a different network, type its address in Add an Address and press Add. You can enter a single address, such as 203.0.113.7, or a range, such as 203.0.113.0/24.
  4. To count a network again, press Remove beside it.

What you'll see

The page confirms "Visits from (address) are no longer counted." and the address appears in the list. A pill reads "your network now" beside the network you are on.

Troubleshooting

It says the list is full. The list holds 20 addresses. Remove one you no longer need.

I do not see the "Don't count my current network" button. Either your current network is already on the list, or your address cannot be read. Type the address into Add an Address instead.

The address I type is refused. Type an address like 203.0.113.7, or a range like 203.0.113.0/24.

Questions

Will old visits from that network disappear?

No. Visits already counted stay, because NinjaHQ never stores visitors' addresses. Only visits from now on are left out.

How many addresses can I add?

Up to 20.
