How do I post a coaching job on my website?
Owners open Settings > Hiring, keep Join our team on, list open positions one per line and press Save. Applicants apply on your site and you get an email.
Every NinjaHQ site has a Join our team page where people can apply to coach. You decide whether it shows, what it says and which jobs are open.
Before you begin
- You must be an owner. Applications are personal data, so managers and staff do not see Hiring.
- The page is on by default. It writes its own welcome text from your classes, ages, competitions and parties.
Steps
- Open Hiring from Settings.
- In The Join our team page, keep Show the page on the website (footer link "Join our team") ticked.
- Optionally write an Intro. Leave it empty and the page writes its own.
- Under Open Positions, One per Line, type each job as:
Title | type | what the job is. For example:Entry-level parkour coach | part-time | Lead our beginner parkour class on weeknights. The type is one of part-time, full-time, seasonal or contract. - Press Save. To close a job, delete its line and save.
Check your page at /careers on your website. Each position has an Apply for this job button.
What you'll see
- A page headed "Coach at (your gym)" with your programs, your open positions and an application form of about 15 minutes. The form asks about availability, experience, coaching style, reliability, references and a resume (PDF, Word or a photo, up to 3 MB). It tells applicants not to include a Social Security number, date of birth or health information.
- When someone applies, they get a thank-you page and an email, and you get an email with the resume attached. The email goes to your contact inbox and every owner. Owners can also get a phone notification.
- Applications are saved on the Hiring page for 24 months, then deleted. Applicants are never added to Contacts or your news emails.
- Positions you list also become Google job listings for 90 days from when you posted them.
Troubleshooting
My job does not show. Check the line has a title, and that the page is switched on. Lines without a title are ignored.
The applicant says they could not submit. The form keeps their answers on their device so they can come back and finish. Ask them to try again; a resume over 3 MB cannot be sent.
I do not get the email. Check your contact email in your settings and the spam folder. The application is also saved on the Hiring page, see How do I review job applications?.
Questions
Where do the job postings show?
On your website's /careers page, called Join our team, with a link in the footer. Open positions also show up in Google's job listings.
What if I do not list any positions?
The page still works. It invites coaches in general and shows a general coach opening.
Can I turn the page off?
Yes. Untick Show the page on the website and press Save. The page and its footer link go away.
